Like any arcade game, Magic Ball comes with a simple premise. Your goal is to break 95% of the bricks presented in each level. Only upon doing so will you unlock the next level. You need to control a single ball using a movable bar. You have to slide the bar left and right to ensure that the ball bounces off it. Doing so will launch the ball upwards toward the bricks, breaking them in the process.
Be wary of the ball as it can ricochet all over the playing field. Should you fail to catch it with the bar you control, your game will end. As an added help, there are powerups hidden inside some of the blocks. Some of it includes the Rocket Launcher, which destroys bricks faster. However, there are also power-downs, such as Jack the Bat Killer, which can sometimes cause you to lose a life.
Each brick you blast earns you a point, which the game records. Once you destroyed the needed amount of bricks a yellow capsule will appear. You must get it if you wish to warp to the next level or you can ignore it if you want to keep playing. Succeeding levels will feature more bricks to blast and more power-downs to avoid. On the flip side, you will also have more help raining down on you.
